Dinita James Authors “EEOC Enforces Position Against Transgender Bias in Phoenix Workplace”

Dinitia_0028_4x5_300Dinita James authored an article for the March 2016 edition of the Arizona Employment Law Letter entitled “EEOC Enforces Position Against Transgender Bias in Phoenix Workplace“.  Arizona is one of more than a dozen states that have sued over the transgender bathroom guidance the Obama administration issued to schools in May.  The federal position that individuals should be able to choose to use the restroom consistent with their gender identity is nothing new for employers, as this article by Dinita James that was published in the Arizona Employment Law Letter documents.  The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has been enforcing that position in court for some time, and one of the cases arose out of a Phoenix call center for a vendor to the financial services industry.
